FAQ
Do you shoot weddings?
I do not. I have done a handful in my career, and I just think working with the kiddos is more of my jam!
Can I extend the session on the day of?
This is always a welcome question. Most weekends I book back to back, but weekdays are more spread out. I always welcome the question and we can discuss pricing options together.
What kind of gear do you use?
I shoot with a Canon EOS R as well as a Canon 6d. I use multiple lenses. My favorite lenses are my Canon 135 and my Canon 35.
For studio lighting I use Alien Bees with a giant PLM. For outdoor lighting I use the ad200 with a pop up octabox.
Do I have to order prints through you?
I do offer gorgeous prints and other products, that is accessible through your gallery once it is completed. You do receive digital images in your package, so you are welcome to order elsewhere.
What do I wear to my session?
This is frequently asked before family sessions and newborn sessions with family poses. I always suggest to avoid super bright (neon) colors, as they can cause a color cast on you and your family. I also suggest keeping patterns/and designs to a minimum. If you are a family of 3, keep the design/patterns on your clothes to one person. A family of 4, keep it to two people, etc.
For newborn sessions, solid colors are best. I always suggest black or white so that the focus stays on the baby, but I do welcome soft colors.
What do I bring to my newborn session?
For the session itself, I do welcome sentimental/personal items that you may want to incorporate in the images. Otherwise, I provide large amounts of wraps, headbands, outfits and accessories.
I do suggest bringing some light snacks and other items you may need over a 2-3 hour period. I do have waters available!
Prior to your session, I do send a full newborn session preparation guide that is jam packed with information.
